Our Mission

Women’s Therapy & Wellness was created to provide women with the unique, quality care and unconditional support they deserve. Whether you are going through a major life transition (career changes, relationship issues, grief), experiencing difficulty starting a family (infertility, pregnancy loss, perinatal mood/anxiety disorders), adjusting to motherhood (postpartum depression and/or anxiety, parenting stress), or all of the above, we genuinely want to support you.

  • Pregnancy and new parenthood can be some of the most profound transitions in life — physically, mentally, and emotionally. We support individuals through the full perinatal journey, from pregnancy through postpartum. If you're experiencing symptoms of depression or anxiety, you may be facing a Perinatal Mood or Anxiety Disorder (PMAD) which are common and treatable conditions. Katelin Buchanan (She/Her/Hers)

Licensed in Virginia, California and Washington, D.C.

Katelin is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a deep specialization in women's reproductive mental health, including infertility, pregnancy loss, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, and trauma. She brings both advanced clinical training and personal insight to her work, and believes that healing isn't just possible, it can be genuinely life-changing.

With a background spanning community mental health, hospital-based care, and private practice, Katelin brings a grounded, experienced perspective to every session. Her approach is warm, relational, and tailored to each person she works with.

Kristen Mahoney (She/Her/Hers)

Licensed in Virginia, New York, and Washington, D.C.

Kristen is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Clinical Supervisor with a background spanning eating disorders, DBT, military families, and reproductive mental health.

She brings a mind-body lens to her work, helping clients tune into their internal experience, build self-trust, and regulate their nervous system. Her approach is warm and collaborative, integrating somatic awareness, EMDR, and other evidence-based modalities to support the whole person. She specializes in infertility, pregnancy and infant loss, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, perimenopause, and life transitions.
