Licensed in California and Virginia

About Me

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor serving clients in both Virginia and California, with a heartfelt commitment to supporting women through life’s most vulnerable and transformative seasons. My work centers around those navigating infertility, pregnancy loss, and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs). I also work closely with women facing major life transitions, unresolved trauma, and self-worth challenges. With a blend of professional expertise and personal insight, I believe that healing isn’t just possible - it can be profoundly life-changing. In addition to being a therapist, I love running, yoga, and spending quality time with my family and closest friends. I love gardening but have a lot to learn in terms of actually keeping plants alive. Things that bring me the most joy include live music, being anywhere near water, and a good hug. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you!

Experience & Training

Over the course of my career, I’ve supported individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorders, and significant life transitions. My professional journey has taken me through a wide range of clinical settings, including community mental health, inpatient hospital units, intensive outpatient programs (IOP), partial hospitalization programs (PHP), and private practice. These diverse experiences have grounded me in trauma-informed, evidence-based care. My post-graduate training has focused intensively on fertility counseling, perinatal mental health, and trauma recovery - including EMDR. After years in hospital-based care, I’ve shifted my full focus to private practice through Women’s Therapy & Wellness - where my passion for women’s mental health truly comes to life.

Therapeutic Approach

My style is relational, warm, and collaborative. I believe that the therapeutic relationship itself is a powerful agent of change, and I work to foster a space where clients feel seen, heard, and safe. I tailor my approach to each individual’s needs, drawing from evidence-based modalities including Person-Centered Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy (IPT),Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I also find it incredibly beneficial to explore parts, or ego states, as a way to get to know oneself better and decrease shame. Together, we work to explore your emotions, align with your values, and move toward growth and healing.
